Walter Ernst Seymour was born Walter Ernst Saloman in 1919, and later changed his surname to Seymour. He was interned in London in 1940 as an enemy alien and transported to Australia as an internee aboard the ship "Dunera". Initially he was sent to Hay Internment Camp and later to Tatura and Barmera.
